School’s out for the summer!

And for some it’s out forever!

Classes ended Friday and Graduation is Thursday.  A week earlier than usual because of the new four week Spring Term.  The weather forcast changes daily, but it’s currently calling for rain.  My friends from the class of 2005 still haven’t recovered from having graduation inside at VMI five years ago.  Fingers crossed!

Where are our grads going?

Great question!

Check out this page to see a map and little blurbs about where the class of 2010 will be next year (or in two months)

Senior Night at the Ruins TONIGHT!

Tonight the senior class of 2010 will gather at the Ruins for music, dinner and drinks to celebrate their graduation.  Here’s our message to them:

1. Keep your address up-to-date with the University.  Use Colonnade Connections.  It’s easy.  If you have trouble, Nate can help you.

2. Get involved with your local alumni chapter (graduates are automatically assigned a chapter based on zip code, but if we still have parents’ addresses, then it doesn’t really work).  Do alumni admission interviews. Attend happy hours.

3. Come back soon, come back often.  First chance is Young Alumni Weekend over Homecoming, Oct. 8-9.

Rain and Chick-fil-A

It’s pouring rain in LexVegas right now, but people don’t care because tomorrow the co-op/Cafe ’77 is selling chicken sandwiches from Chick-fil-A!  I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a mob scene.  The FB event has a TON of people on it.
