Hello from Boston!

The second alumni road trip is off to great start!  Over 100 alumni and friends attended the welcome reception at the Fairmont Copley Plaza.  There was a wonderful mix of young alumni, families and even some 5-Star Generals!  VP of Advancement led us in a rousing rendition of happy birthday for director of development, Tres Mullis’s daughter, Tess’s 6th birthday!  She loved it and got a special slice of cake! 

It’s raining this morning, but the Duck Tours went off, they’ll be back soon.

Boston Alumni Roadtrip

Washington and Lee alumni will congregate in Boston July 23-26, 2009 for the University’s second national event, affectionately known as the “Alumni Road Trip.” Our first gala in Chicago in 2007 was a big success, and we look very forward to another gathering of W&L people from across the country. 

I’m looking forward to the Red Sox game on Friday night and the harbor cruise on Saturday night.  We have to release some hotel rooms back to the hotel soon, so please make reservations if you’re planning to attend.
